After the 2016 tax-day flood in Houston, our client wanted to take the opportunity during the restoration to update this typical 1970’s floor plan. The old kitchen and breakfast room were 2 separate areas divided by a kitchen counter top. By combining the 2 spaces we were able to create a large galley style kitchen with plenty cabinets for storage and counter space for food preparation. We also relocated the sink to the peninsula side cabinets and created great place to gather around the kitchen. For the counter tops we installed quartzite. The formal dining room featured a custom china cabinet and wine storage unit.
The master bathroom was completely remodeled by removing the bathtub and combining the tub and shower (tub-to-shower conversion) into a large walk-in shower featuring body jets and multiple shower heads.
