Approximately 2000 Vortens toilets were manufactured with defective tanks in 2011 and some were installed in the Houston area. These tanks cracked suddenly after many months of being installed and in some cases caused extensive property damage. It's also important to note that these toilets failed when not in use and were unattended!
To avoid a potential catastrophe check to see who manufactured the toilets in your home or business. Simply remove the tank lid, and in most cases, the manufacturer will be stamped on either the lid or the inside of the tank.
